Shahram Naimi, the director of the institute, and Shahram Shahrokhi, the deputy director, participated in the first national technological event of the red palm weevil at the South Kerman Agricultural and Natural Resources Research and Training Center. They expressed the policies, approaches and programs of the IRIPP in this matter. Also, the management methods of the red palm weevil were presented by Kazem Mohammadpour, the secretary of the headquarters for the control of red palm weevil and the faculty member of the Agricultural entomology research department of the institute in the form of a workshop. In this event, Laleh Ebrahimi, a faculty member of the IRIPP, won the “best idea” prize with the title "Production of chitosan formulation of a native strain of insect-pathogenic nematode".
