According to the public relations office of the IRIPP, Mr. Yuak Dhoj G C, the FAO representative ad interim to Iran, visited a number of research departments of the IRIPP, including the Insect Taxonomy, the Botany, the Pesticides, the Plant Diseases and the Biological Control Research Departments, facilities, museums and research activities in progress, on Sunday 29th July, 2023.
FAO representative ad interim to Iran initially visited the "Hayk Mirzayans Insect Museum" and the "Herbarium of the Ministry of Agricultural Jihad (MOJ)" and was informed about the history of these museums, the existing specimens and their importance in agricultural research, biodiversity and food security.
Then, while visiting the Pesticide residue and Pesticide formulation research laboratories in the Pesticide research department, and Prokaryotes and Mycotoxins research laboratories in the Plant Diseases research department, was informed about the latest scientific and research achievements, the activities carried out and advances in the field of pesticides and plant diseases in the institute. At the end, Mr. Yuak visited the natural enemies used in the biological control of plant damaging agents in the Biological Control research department of the IRIPP.
